Are you associated with another ministry?

Cincinnati House of Prayer is a prayer and worship focused ministry set here in Cincinnati, which is very grateful for the modeling and teaching that has come out of the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Missouri.  We are fond of saying we are of the family resemblance but have no association with IHOP-KC.  We are members of the Body of Christ serving our Lord for His glory by building up and supporting the Body of Christ and the advancement of God’s kingdom on earth in our region until Jesus’ return.

How are you funded?

We are a 501-(c)(3) non-profit organization, governed by a board of trustees. Funding is solely from the donations of those committed to seeing night and day prayer and worship established in our region.

Why “Night and Day” prayer?

“When the son of man returns, will He find such faith on the earth?”
(Luke 18:8)

At Cincinnati House of Prayer, we are trying, in the grace of God, to establish a place where prayer and worship continues non-stop for the glory of Jesus Christ. We are inviting any Christ follower in the Cincinnati area to partner with us in this effort. We desire to see the Body of Christ come together in unity at the foot of the cross of Jesus Christ that prayer and worship would go up before God asking for His Kingdom to come and His will be done in our city, the Tri-state region and beyond. In so doing, the ”justice” promised in Luke 18 will be realized quickly and righteousness will go forth for His glory and for the salvation of lives.

What is intercessory worship (Harp & Bowl)?

It is a form of prayer that utilizes the mixing of worship and prayer as seen in Revelation 5:8: “….the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense which are the prayers of the saints.”

What does Harp & Bowl mean?

A term derived from Revelation 5:8, describing the elders before the throne with harps (representing worship with music) and a bowl of incense (representing the prayers of God’s people). It is the basic model of C-HOP’s prayer meetings—combining worship (led by worship teams) and prayer (both personal and corporate). C-HOP utilizes four Harp and Bowl formats: Worship with the Word, Devotional, Intercessory Worship and Prophetic Worship.

How can I get involved?

Anyone is welcome to come and be apart of what we are doing at C-HOP.  We consider ourselves a sanctuary in the city for folks to come and connect with God.  Stop by C-HOP sometime to pray, worship, meditate or study or more.  We welcome you to come and look forward to meeting you when you do.
