What We Are Made Of

C-hop is of the family resemblance of the International House of Prayer in Kansas City. We are a place of encounter with God, where we can encounter Him and He can encounter us. It is our desire to operate through a model of corporate intercessory worship as a people of perpetual devotion unto the Lord on behalf of His pleasure, the Body of Christ, the Tri-state region, Israel and more.

We position ourselves at C-HOP as ones committed through the power of the Holy Spirit to intimacy, intercession, the Word of God and the urgency of the hour, for the purposes of the great end time harvest, societal transformation, justice, the return of Jesus and the establishment of God’s kingdom on earth.

Our ministry center is conducive to prayer, worship and study in God’s Word with wireless internet connection, tables in the prayer room, a classroom and a bookstore. Our prayer room is always open whenever the ministry center is and the IHOP-KC web-stream plays whenever there is not a live prayer and worship set occurring. We often teach classes, host conferences, and other prayer and worship times while working with the Body of Christ throughout the earth for God’s greater glory.

First and Foremost

The Church’s Primary Calling

The primary calling for every ministry is to know God and to make Him known as they work together with others to fulfill the Great Commission and build the Church. We believe this includes spreading the fame of Jesus in winning the lost, healing the sick, making disciples, building godly families, doing works of justice and compassion, and impacting society.

  • Jesus said “Make disciples” – Equipping others to love God and people with all their hearts.
  • Jesus said “Go” – Mobilizing the work of the kingdom locally and abroad.
  • Jesus said “I will build” – Gathering the workers together to function as the family of God.
  • We spread the fame of Jesus – Proclaiming the knowledge of God and the worth of Jesus.

Go…and make disciples of all the nations…teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (Mt. 28:19-20)

I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. (Mt. 16:18)

Our Specific Assignments

in context of the Great Commission
  • Keeping a sanctuary (a House of Prayer) of worship with intercession in the spirit of the tabernacle of David.
  • Calling people to intimacy with Jesus as our Bridegroom God and to the first commandment.
  • Strengthening the “Praying Church” including helping the Body of Christ to establish a prayer culture in our region and in the nations.
  • To partner and stand with Jesus’ purposes for Israel and the Jewish people throughout the earth.
  • Equipping and training up the hungry around the context of the prayer room.
  • To be a people, place of encounter and inhabitation for the Lord through the empowering of the Holy Spirit.

Keeping a Sanctuary

to minister to God, release His power, and encounter His heart.
  • We minister to God by declaring His worth in priestly ministry in an unceasing way on earth as He is ministered to continually in heaven (Mt. 6:10).
  • We labor in intercession to release God’s power to win the lost, revive the church, and transform society as we do works of justice and compassion.
  • We encounter God to receive greater grace to love and obey God with all our heart.
  • We grow in revelation of the Word to see the majesty of God as our Father and of Jesus as the Bridegroom, King, and Judge and to gain insight into His will, ways, and plans and to understand the unique dynamics of His end-time plan to transition the earth to the age to come.
  • We live lives of holy devotion to the Lord dedicated to Him, His pleasure and to be His instruments on the earth.
