Happy & Blessed Thanksgiving!

Posted on: November 18th, 2018 by walt

Philippians 1:3-6

I thank my God every time I remember you.  In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ richly bless you in this season, may He release to you a spirit of gratitude and may you truly know His love for you!

Title:            Developing A Theology of Persecution (Introductory Class)

Description:            “To successfully engage in what God is doing in the Middle East and other hard places, we must begin by making sure we have a robust theology of persecution and suffering. In some parts of the Church, the idea of suffering is rejected in favor of a “prosperity” gospel that believes that we are protected and preserved from suffering and loss in this age. Such a gospel will not hold up either under biblical scrutiny or under the experience of most of the saints throughout the ages. This theology often prevents the Church from standing with suffering believers. Furthermore, those who adhere to this theology are likely to fall away when suffering becomes a part of their own experience as Christians.”

Length of Class:            5 Weeks

From:             October 23rd through November 20th

Time:            6:30 – 8:00 PM

Location:            C-HOP

A Moravian Motto

Moravian Motto

Over the alter in the prayer room there is a banner that hangs reminding us of the intimate relationship between missions and prayer.  For out of the Moravian community in Hernhutt, Germany, where the prayer meeting went on for 100 years, a missions movement sprung forth that touched the earth.  Ones like Johann Leonhard Dober and David Nitschmann went forth to reach the lost and bring glory to Jesus.

Prepare The Way Today

Posted on: August 17th, 2015 by walt

Take a moment and look around the site of our friend and brother Chuck Reber.  In light of the days we are in we encourage you to ask the Lord how He is calling you to respond and prepare for them.  Chuck has come to the Cincinnati House of Prayer before and continues to be a voice for a Church made ready in the day of challenge.

The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.

C-HOP Welcomes Guest Speaker Robert Brock

June 30, 6-8 PM

Robert Brock has been with The Voice of the Martyrs since 1993. As one of their national speakers, he has shared in hundreds of churches and venues reaching thousands every year with the message of the persecuted church. He is an excellent communicator bringing to life the faith and courage of our persecuted brethren. His multi- media presentation has informed, challenged, and inspired many to renew their walk with the Lord.

Before joining VOM, Robert and his family lived in Europe working with refugees from Communist and Islamic countries. Now he travels throughout the United States and the world sharing the message of today’s persecuted church and VOM’s work on their behalf.

Robert has ministered in Europe, Africa, Asia, South America and the Middle East, including Pakistan, Vietnam, Sudan, China, India, Egypt, Iraq, Indonesia, Columbia, Bangladesh, Nigeria and Nepal. On his overseas travels, he meets with families of martyrs and delivers aid, relief, and spiritual encouragement. Robert is able to assure our brothers and sisters that as part of God’s family, they are not forgotten.

Robert has a unique ability to connect the overcoming faith of our persecuted brothers and sisters with churches, colleges, seminaries, Christian schools, home-schools, and Bible studies throughout the country.

Comments about Robert’s speaking

  • “The unflinching, unapologetic reality of the persecuted church was presented….”
  • “Your timely message and pictures challenged me to renew my commitment to Christ.”
  • “We want to express our gratitude to VOM for having such a passionate, tenderhearted representative who has such an obvious burden for his suffering brothers and sisters for Christ.”
  • Attendee of a VOM Regional conference…”Thanks for a super great conference! … but I must confess, hearing and seeing Bob Brock’s message/presentation is what moved me the most!”
